Fatal Attractions

Unlike many of God’s people, God’s Word does not shy away from the subject of sex. The Bible affords us the naked truth about sex and sexuality. In this series of sermons, Philip De Courcy reminds us that sex, as with all good things in life, is a gift from God and must be submitted to the Lordship of Christ. As a culture we have settled for less than God’s best in this area. We have trivialized sex, reducing it to something cheap and instinctual, rather than something sacred and profound. In doing so we have robbed ourselves of its true meaning and real joy! Ironically, we have become a culture that is more and more sexually active, but less and less sexually satisfied. Do you wonder why? In these studies, Philip answers that question by calling us to flee sexual immorality while at the same time renewing our commitment to God’s glorious purposes and intended pleasure in the gift of sex. As far as the Bible is concerned, the context of sex is marriage between a man and a woman, the purposes of sex are several, the impact of sex is profound, the commitment of sex is total, and the misuse of sex is cruel in its consequences.
