Above All: The Supremacy and Sufficiency of Christ

While an admirer of Christ, Gandhi summarized his position on Jesus when he said, “I cannot concede to Christ a solitary throne.” For Gandhi, like so many in our contemporary culture, he will have Jesus as a man but not as God, as a teacher but not as Savior, as someone to be admired but not worshipped.

In the series Above All, Pastor Philip De Courcy highlights the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ as presented in Paul’s letter to the Colossians. Christ is above all powers and all things. To go beyond Christ is to leave Christianity behind. In Above All, Pastor Philip reminds us that the Lord Jesus Christ is creation’s only source, man’s only Savior, and God’s only Son, and He must be understood accurately. The completeness of the Christian is in and through Christ, and in Him we are complete. All Christian life must flow from Him, and He must take the central place in a believer’s heart.
